Development and Communications Internship

*aCCEPTING APPLICATIONS ON A ROLLING BASIS*

The Development and Communications intern will assist in the facilitation of the organization’s annual development plan, including: drafting and editing newsletters, creating social media posts, conducting grant research, data entry, and planning fundraising and programmatic events (including our annual Golf Tournament and Leadership Celebration) for CfJJ donors and supporters.

Examples of internship tasks:

  • Assisting the communications associate with the social media ambassador program

  • Assist with development of social media strategy and social media campaigns as they relate to fundraising and events

  • Assist with the event planning process including creating promotional materials, reaching out to sponsors and donors, etc.

  • Research foundations and government agencies to identify grant opportunities

Anticipated skill sets:

  • Strong writing, oral, research, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Experience in graphic design (Canva preferred)

  • Experience with social media and event planning preferred
