Reynolds Graves

Reynolds Graves serves as the Director of Government Relations for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. In his role, he acts as a legislative and community policy advisor for Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins and operates as an ombudsman for the Sheriff with all governmental and established civic and community organizations.  Additionally, he maintains relationships with government officials and legislatively represents and protects the department’s interests while monitoring legislative and regulatory activity.

Prior to his work at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, Reynolds was a Senior Public Affairs Associate and Lobbyist at Rasky Partners. There his work included the implementation of grassroots initiatives and the formation and execution of business development strategies in addition to representing client’s interests before the Massachusetts Legislature, the Baker-Polito Administration and in City and Town Halls throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Before his time at Rasky Partners, Reynolds served as a Deputy Chief of Staff to Boston City Councilor Tito Jackson, Assistant Director of Personnel for Massachusetts Governor Deval L. Patrick and was a Field Director for Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s 2014 campaign. During college, Reynolds interned in the United State Congress, at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and in the Obama White House in the Office of Vice President Joe Biden. In January 2018, Reynolds launched Boston Gumbo, an open forum that seeks to bring Bostonian’s together around initiatives rooted in civic engagement current topics that shape the future of the city. Reynolds was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and studied Political Science at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
