Thanks to close to 125 runners and walkers, the first-ever CfJJ on the Run 5K was a wonderful success! The weather was breezy but dry and our many volunteers pulled on a few extra layers and made sure the morning went smoothly. Our runners started the race accompanied by the Beatles, 17, and hit the road!
CfJJ on the Run was one of 16 walk/runs taking place across the country as part of Youth Justice Awareness month--focusing attention on the need to keep kids out of the adult criminal justice system.
Men's Overall Winner Peter Kilkelly of Jamaica Plain was the first to cross the finish line at 18:08, quickly followed by Women's Overall Winner Elaine Scales of Jamaica Plain. Full race results
